 Sturminster Newton is famous for being the home of Thomas Hardy. Flowing around the town, the River Stour rises at Stourhead and reaches the sea at Christchurch. The coarse fishing is considered to be among the best in England. Some 200 yards from the bridge is a picturesque and ancient working water mill now known as Sturminster Mill and Museum.The Exchange is a multi purpose building offering a high degree of flexibility for various uses. It is a community centre, an arts centre and also a learning centre.
