21 months for assault on Weymouth prison guard

A man has been given a 21-month prison term after assaulting a prison guard.
Twenty-year old Tashan Lamont Johnson was convicted at Dorchester Crown Court on 27 November 2009.
Unemployed Johnson had pleaded guilty to the assault occasioning actual bodily harm charge after the attack against the man on Portland during December 2008.
The 20-year old had attacked the prison guard with a broken CD causing injuries.
The investigating officer in the case was Constable Andrew Marsh of Weymouth police.
The Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor in the case was Ian Fenny.
