The stunning Italian Villa is the perfect Poole wedding venue. Comprised of three function suites arranged over three floors the Villa has a lift.
All suites have independent heating and air conditioning, built in sound systems, radio microphones and broadband. The Verona and Sienna suites also have built in audio visuals screens. Each suite can be hired individually, or alternatively the complete Italian Villa can be hired exclusively for the whole day, part day or evening.
A few select days of the year are set aside for the exclusive hire of the Italian Villa and the entire grounds and gardens of Compton Acres.

Our all inclusive prices start from £600 per day. We offer a fully flexible service and can provide as much or little as you require and our prices are based on your own needs and requirements. Please contact us and we can discuss all your needs and wishes for the day alternatively we welcome visits at Nutley Farm where you can meet the horses and see the beautiful wedding Landau. We offer all our potential brides and grooms an opportunity to come out with us while we are exercising the horses. It is our aim to give every couple a day full of memories that they will treasure forever.
Distance Considerations: Sometimes, if the reception is too far for our horses to travel, we can put you in touch with an excellent car service that has the same high level of service as ourselves. However as working horses they will easily cover 10 to 12 miles in a day.
The Landau Carriage: Our classic landau carriage has a luxurious, upholstered interior and striking exterior that adds elegance to your special day. It carries four adults or two adults and three children comfortably and can be used completely open, partially open or totally enclosed. The classic landau carriage is well maintained and immaculate, just perfect for transporting you to and from your venue with finesse. We can add ribbons and flowers to match your bridal theme and we can provide champagne for you to toast each other before moving off to the reception.

We are also conveniently located for all the major independent schools in Dorset and Wiltshire, as well as being only half an hour from Poole for those travelling to France or the Channel Islands and the obvious choice for a hotel near Henstridge Airfield.
The hotel accommodation in this fine Jacobean manor house hotel, in fact more home than hotel, comprises 16 lovely rooms and one of the finest restaurants in Dorset; the atmosphere is relaxed and informal without a trace of pomposity. The impressive gallery upstairs, hung with huge family portraits, is typical of fine Jacobean houses of the period. There’s also a portrait of Charles I, which he personally presented to his mistress who was a member of the family. In winter, guests really enjoy sitting in the warm glow of the wide, open fires, often lost in reverie, staring at the flickering flames.
It’s easy to appreciate why this beautiful country hotel is the most idyllic exclusive use wedding venue.
Outside, there are the beautiful gardens where, in spring, the colours can be riotous and the birdsong symphonic! In summer, guests love to recline in deck chairs scattered about the well-manicured lawns, listening to the birds, the breeze in the trees, the trickling of the river; pure therapy.
