Why have a video inventory?
Written inventories alone are often, quite literally, not worth the paper they are written on. They may be too brief, with no schedule of condition, or are too long and ambiguous to be of any use evidentially. Photographs are obviously an improvement but it's impossible to foresee what will be damaged at the end of a tenancy, and ensure that a photograph is taken at the start showing the item in its original state. Without a photograph, not only of the item in question but also the area has been damaged, all the tenant has to do is simply claim, "it was like that when I moved in" and your claim will fail.

A typical 30 minute video inventory will not only provide the equivalent of over 37,000 digital photographs, making sure that every part of your property is covered, but will also show items in their context, which gives an adjudicator a true impression of the overall condition before and after the tenancy.
