http://www.charmouthchallenge.co.ukPhone: 01297 560 341The Charmouth Challenge in Dorset is the most southerly fell race in England. The 8 mile course goes through some of the finest coastal scenery in the South West. It includes an ascent of Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast of England at 191m. The 'Mini Challenge' follows a 2.5 mile course in the same area. The setting for both runs is Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site and is metres of Charmouth's famous fossil beach.
A huge variety of people enter the Challenge from the serious runners to the not so serious - it really is an event for all ages and abilities - something for everyone and a great day by the seaside! Go on challenge yourself......
“"Another fantastic event with outstanding organisation. Local (school fete) atmosphere with all the benefits of experienced race organisation.""
""This is one of the best races in the year - so beautiful, challenging and felt very well looked after by the marshalls.""
“This was my favourite ever run, but I think the hardest race I have done in 3 1/2 years of running! The scenery was spectacular and the course well-marshalled. Plenty of friendly support along the way, just where it was needed (very dedicated of people to walk up all those hills).”

Why take part?
The BHF is the nation’s heart charity, dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care, campaigning for change and by providing vital information. We urgently need donations of time and money to continue our life-saving work because together we can beat heart disease.
Taking part in the Bournemouth Bay Run is an opportunity to raise life-saving funds for the BHF and we would like all participants to raise what they can in sponsorship. Your entry fee covers organisational costs but it is the sponsorship you raise that will help saves lives.

http://www.sturhalf.co.ukThis year's Stur Half takes place on Sunday, 29th July 2012, starting at 10.30am from Station Road in Sturminster Newton, North Dorset. It is a road race, organised by the Dorset Doddlers, on country lanes in and around Sturminster Newton.
The race this year is in the Dorset Road Race League and also a County Championship race. As well as the half marathon there will be a 5K race, and also fun races for the children.
We are delighted that this year's race is once again sponsored by Honeybuns, who make exquisitely yummy cakes, and supported by many other
local businesses. Not just a race, but an event for the whole family
The Blackmore Vale is a beautiful part of Dorset, so why not bring the whole family out for the day. While you are running we will entertain the children with fun races ('spud' and spoon, relays etc., depending on ages).
Refreshments " well, we are runners, and we like food,
especially after a long run!
Our refreshments team, who are raising money for the High School Walking Club, will help you refuel after the race with tea, coffee hot food and home made cakes. You will also be able to get a refreshing real ale, cider or a glass of wine from our beer tent.
