Public Transport Directions
There is an hourly train service from London Waterloo to Wareham (journey time approx. 2 hours) A taxi from Wareham will take around 20 minutes, alternatively the number 40 bus can be taken from Wareham Train station to Swanage.
There is a Bus stop right outside the Castleton with hourly services of the Number 50 service to and from the centre of Bournemouth and the Train station with numerous connections

With its sandy beaches, steam train, historic pier and stone quay, Swanage has a lot to offer old and young alike and with Carnival Week and several music Festivals, the town is lively throughout the year.
Further afield, the ancient ruins of Corfe Castle, Monkey World, the Tank Museum, small coves, fossil-rich beaches, quarried caves, towering cliffs, sea-worn arches and the whole of the Purbeck is all within approximately half hour drive from Swanage through spectacular countryside.
